We are glad to announce the next version development coming to an end. In the new Syslog Watcher we have added many advanced features and also considerably enhanced the existing ones. The new syslog server development is based upon the acquired experience and our customers’ requirements.
The most significant improvements are:
- - A new fault-tolerant syslog storage format
- - Elimination of 2GB limitation for data volumes within the syslog storage
- - Syslog Watcher service and GUI can be running on different machines
- - Backing up syslog storage automatically (scheduled) or manually
- - Enhanced monitoring of syslog server working
- - Advanced search and filtering, including full storage search
- - Exporting and importing collected syslog messages
- - Improved system of report generation including reports according to schedule
Having evaluated the whole amount of innovations we decided the new version will be Syslog Watcher 4. As soon as the development is finalized the public Syslog Watcher 4 build will be available for download.
Please note that after the new version is released, license terms and licensing price will be changed. However, all licensed customers of Syslog Watcher 2.x will be able to update it to the new version for free.
